"A controlled explosion of enamoring vitality combined with an innately stimulating ethereal relationship with expressive colours, Caroline Boff’s pictorial conceptions herald a powerfully direct connection to the artist’s profound emotions and intimate experiences that are subtly shared with the viewer catalysed by the joyful energy encompassed in her art."
Timothy Warrington, The International Confederation of Art Critics.
My Story, My Dreams, My Reality
Hey there!
I am Caroline, I paint energy, movement, colour and feeling!
I’m a passionate contemporary artist.
Come and check in with me to view my vibrant and energetic artwork!
I am so glad you are here. Read on for my Bio and Artist’s Statement and more.
From being a child, I loved art and music. Music spoke to my soul deeply and I frequently danced in our living room as a toddler to Elvis Presley to my parents’ delight.
Art was also a powerful force within me and when I was making art that was the one of the few times I could let go and really relax.
My dad enjoyed collecting art and my mum was a talented interior designer for family homes we had. My grandma would always be flower arranging and I loved watching her create wonderfully beautiful, colourful bouquets week after week.
My family noticed that I resonated with art. Sadly, I didn’t pursue it at school as other subjects seemed the best thing to do at that time. Needless to say, quite quickly I began to hate the road I had taken, as I didn’t enjoy the subjects I had chosen.
Art found me gratefully in 2017, when I was in recovery from an illness I had suffered with for 25 years. Art gave me something to do and it made me connect with my inner self, my true self. Even though I was ill, making art was like coming home. I was excited, happy, determined and relieved. I haven’t stopped painting since.
Art gives me a reason to get up in the morning, art gives me a reason to breathe. It gives me the skills to navigate the waters of recovery and life safely and at times even with utter joy. Art makes me smile.
I have also been lucky enough to have travelled extensively to both hemispheres of the world, many times, and as such my paintings are fittingly colourful, informed and vibrant.
Back home my mum is a kind and caring soul, she is compassionate and there for both me and my brother no matter what. She used to love gardening. She has creative vision and is also very sensitive to music (albeit not recently as she is very deaf now). She loves gardening or just pottering these days. She showed me how important nature is as well as human nature, human kindness.
My father was also a visionary, and he was a very powerful person. He could be a real character, had a lot of fun, whilst at the same time having a strong work ethic. He is a big inspiration for me, as is all of my family as they are the loves of my life (including my dogs). My dad taught me a lot. He loved me and my brother madly and he could be really kind. You certainly didn’t mess with him though!
I feel that with such an intense background this has informed my art practice up to today. I self-express with joy, boldness and vibrancy with at times an unapologetic voice.
My work hopes to inspire, uplift and change the energy to any environment to good energy, good vibes and warm feelings. I know when I look at my paintings in my living room, I immediately feel better, enlivened, looked after and connected to source which is such a relief. For me everything has a vibration and an aim of my artwork is to raise the vibration of the room to more happiness and to create fulfilment.
I do work with energy and movement still to this day. I think as a lover of the arts, film, music, theatre and dance can influence my painting as does practically anything. But the common denominator is always energy, movement and feeling. This intention with my art is to enable the viewer to connect to their source energy and inner wisdom and wellbeing. I do hope that my artwork affects people’s energy in a positive way. I hope to raise the viewer’s vibration.
When I was a child, my dad used to take us to Laser Quest and to space centres to learn about the universe and space travel. Even though we were young my dad wanted to impart his passion for flying, driving and the possibilities of space travel onto me and my brother. One of my most favourite people to talk to in this world is my brother. We just resonate with each other. You can see how feeling, movement and energy always is at the core of what is going on between me and my family but also generally speaking for everyone else on this planet whether they realise it or not. That is why it not only informs my painting but my painting celebrates movement, feeling and energy as the vital life source that it is. Such exploration is possible with these avenues of being and becoming. The time of your life can be just around the corner if that is what you want to manifest.
I feel from the bottom of my heart that we were put on this earth for a reason and that we have a big say in what manifests in our life. Some people are luckier sure, I have battled illness for example, but if we really want to enjoy life we have to work on ourselves to listen to our inner spirit and what it wants. Changing from economics to art was the best decision I ever made. In painting I achieve catharsis every day. It feels really good. I want to feel a part of something as do we all and the universe and being connected to it is the most effective way to feel intensely good. But it has to be what you really want and then you can be connected to the infinite life source of the universe. My painting is one way that I do this for myself personally. I hope that my painting does the same for you.
